Small Pet Visits
Small pet visits include almost any pet which is not a dog or a cat; so rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, reptiles and fish.
All my rabbit welfare practices are in line with RWAF. Unfortunately, there are no welfare bodies with standards to adhere to for other small pets. Being a veterinary nurse, I am required by the RCVS to keep my knowledge up to date on all species of pets.
It can be difficult to find someone to take care of your small furry pets when you’re away.
I will call in twice daily to feed, put down fresh water, change litter trays or clean out cages/hutches. I can also give any necessary medication and have snuggles and fuss.
Each visit will last no less than 30 minutes and I can move post, water plants, open/close curtains for you. I can also move bins if you would like me to.
If you require any other help or advice with your pets’ health and management, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs.
There is some paperwork to fill out (which I can email to you) and I will ideally visit your home (free of charge). I will need to familiarise myself with where you keep all the necessary items to care for your pets while you’re away, and to collect a key. Keys are stored securely in a key safe. Additionally, keys are not labeled with names or addresses, but with a code.
