Cow Hooves

Cow hooves might not sound glamorous to us, but dogs think they’re brilliant! Each one is a single, natural, air-dried hoof: no additives, no preservatives, nothing else. They’re a really hard, long-lasting chew in their own right, but where they really come into their own is the hollow middle.

Stuff it, freeze it, keep them busy for ages 🐾

Fill the hollow with something tasty and your dog will happily lick and work away at it. Freeze it first and it lasts even longer, which makes it perfect for keeping busy dogs out of mischief, settling them while you’re out, or cooling them down on a hot day.

Stuffing ideas:

• Our JR Pure Paté: my favourite! Firm enough to pack in, and dogs go wild for it
• Plain natural yoghurt or a spoonful of their own wet food, frozen
• Mashed banana, or a few of their kibble mixed with water and frozen

Good to know: hooves are very hard, so they’re best for adult dogs who like a proper chew, not ideal for puppies, older dogs or dogs with dental problems. Always supervise your dog, keep fresh water handy, and take it away if it splinters, gets sharp edges or becomes small enough to swallow. They’re natural, so sizes vary, and yes, they do have a bit of a farmyard aroma! 😄
